You will be introduced to beaded jewellery making. You will learn about different types of findings and materials and the pros and cons of each type. You will learn to make a variety of your own findings. Different types of stones will be discussed along with other types of beads, i.e. crystal, glass etc. You will be encouraged to think about the design of the piece rather than just the mechanics of putting a piece of jewellery together. Various beading techniques will be taught including spiral stitch, wire twisting etc. You will make the following: tiara, spiral stitch bracelet & wire & bead necklace.
Please note:A file or notebook along with a set of jewellery pliers will be needed, approx £18 available.
