This is a follow on course from the shorter 'introduction to the pre-historic archaeology of Cumbria' from the mesolithic to the arrival of the Romans. The course is also designed as an introduction, but will go further in depth into each pre-historic era, concentrating more on specific sites in Cumbria. It takes you through how people lived in the landscape, what tools they used and what kind of artifacts the made. You will handle actual artifacts and learn how to interpret them. They will also be a basic introduction to field archaeology.
