A survey of this fascinating period of English History which, though remote in time, has much in common with the 21st Century. The course covers the reigns of Elisabeth I, James I and Charles I, the Civil War, the Commonwealth, Oliver Cromwell's Protectorate and finally the restoration of Charles II. Where appropriate, there will be links to the local history.
