The visible remains of Cumbria's rich and varied past are to be found as much in field patterns and industrial landscapes as in ruined castles and abbeys. This course aims to show you where to go and what to see and how it all fits in with our local and national history. The course will be illustrated by dozens of maps, diagrams and documents and by hundreds of photographs. Course materials will be available on the internet weekly, when you complete the course a CD of materials will be available.
